Roam Mobile

- Roam Mobile is the native app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Install Roam has the store links.
- Sign in with your Roam account and your graphs are there, in sync with everywhere else you use Roam.
The Mobile Native View
- By default, the app shows the full Roam you know from the browser. The native view is an optional second mode, rebuilt for phones: it opens fast and handles large graphs without trouble.
- We recommend turning it on. It's a much smoother way to use Roam on a phone, and the web view is always there for the things it doesn't cover yet.
- Turn it on with the Native view switch in the app's settings.
- You can edit in it, drag blocks around, [react with emoji](Reactions), and use [queries](Query), [tables](Table), [sliders](Slider), [block references](Block References), and [callouts](Callouts).
- For things the native view doesn't cover yet, the app can open the full Roam web app.
- Encrypted graphs aren't available in the native view, because the servers it reads from can't decrypt them. They open in the web app view instead.
Quick Capture
- Quick Capture is the app's tab for getting a thought down fast, and the screen the app opens on.
- It doesn't load your graph, which is what makes it quick: pick a graph, type, save.
- Captures go to that graph's Daily Notes page unless you pick a different page for them. If you're offline, they're saved and synced once you're back online.
- Encrypted graphs are not supported in quick capture
Good to know
- Encrypted graphs can unlock with Face ID or your fingerprint instead of typing the password.
- Links to Roam pages and blocks can open directly in the app.
